Come and visit The Bunker!
Officers are hosting another free open day at The Bunker museum on Saturday 16th November. There are hourly slots available for booking now.
The Bunker, which is in Hatfield Police Station, is a unique community engagement space that showcases the aviation history of Hatfield police station. Whilst the core aim is to build the trust of local children who visit as part of school trips, the museum hosts regular open days for the public throughout the year. The museum includes photos, historical items, original film footage, dioramas and models that tell the story of the police station building from its origins in 1933 as the Headquarters of the de Havilland Aircraft Company, through to its current use.
PLEASE NOTE YOU CANNOT JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY. YOU MUST BOOK IN ADVANCE AS YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN.
“To book your place, visit the Hatfield Bunker website at hatfieldbunker.co.uk. Please make sure to specify how many people you are making the booking for.
“We’d also like to remind local community leaders and teachers that we can make bookings throughout the year for your groups and schools. Many Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and schoolchildren have enjoyed visits to The Bunker and we enjoy hosting them!”
If you have any questions in relation to a visit please contact me direct. However please note that all bookings must go through the website for the Open Day and any other days.
Many thanks
