Dear Resident On 12th Dec between 1830 and 1930 a burglary took place in Rucklers lane. The IP left the address at approx 1820 hours and returned home approximately 1920 hours. Upon returning to the address, he went in through the front door. As he has walked into the study, he has seen the rear door completely smashed with glass covering the floor. There were footprints leading through the kitchen upstairs where the prints could be seen in all bedrooms. It appears a search of all rooms has taken place however it does not appear that any items have been taken.
Please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/105914/24 if you or your neighbours have any information relating to this crime. Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please be vigilant and do report any suspicious activity or behaviour in the area. Tips to prevent burglary: Check downstairs windows and doors are securely locked before you leave or go to bed. Use a “Fake TV” or timer switches on lamps to give the impression someone is at home. Don’t leave keys, phones or other valuables on windowsills or in any other visible place. Secure UPVC doors by lifting the handle and locking it to engage the security features. Consider using a doorbell camera, interior camera or a monitored burglar alarm. Securely lock rear gates, sheds and garages. Keep tools and ladders locked away, as they could be used to break into your home.
