Use signal blocking pouches to avoid keyless thefts β Broxbourne |
||
We are reminding drivers in Broxbourne to keep car keys in a signal-blocking pouch and well away from your vehicle to reduce the chance of your vehicle being stolen following three overnight thefts. One vehicle has been recovered following a road traffic collision and enquiries continue to find the other two. Thieves only need to be within a few metres of your car key to capture the signal, even if itβs inside your home. This means that even if your car and home are secure, thieves can still unlock, start and steal your car. How to protect your keyless entry car Additional physical security such as locks and immobilisers are still highly recommended.
