Officers are re-appealing for information after a dog was reportedly out of control. The incident occurred on Bushey Ley Park between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 30 October. The victim was walking in the park when she bent down to tie her shoelaces. A dog quickly approached and bit the face of the victim before running away after being pushed off. The victim required medical treatment for facial injuries. The dog is described as large black dog, around the size of a labrador. The owner was not present throughout this attack. Officers are interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the attack as well as anyone with a dog as described above. PC Anne Lopez of the Welwyn Garden City Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are still investigating this incident but unfortunately the dog’s owner remains unknown. “We are releasing a new appeal in case it was missed the first time by someone who can help. “If you witnessed this incident or have any information about it, please contact me by emailing anne.lopez@herts.police.uk.” You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/91762/24.
