Dear Resident On SATURDAY 25th JANUARY 2025 at approximately 04:00 hours, we have been made aware of a male acting suspiciously on driveways on THE BEECHES.
A bag with a disc cutter was also located by residents in the bushes of WHYTINGHAM ROAD.
Please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 and ask to pass the information on to PC 689 WATSON if you or your neighbours have any information relating to this incident. Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Please be vigilant and do report any suspicious activity or behaviour in the area. Tips to prevent burglary: Check downstairs windows and doors are securely locked before you leave or go to bed. Use a “Fake TV” or timer switches on lamps to give the impression someone is at home. Don’t leave keys, phones or other valuables on windowsills or in any other visible place. Secure UPVC doors by lifting the handle and locking it to engage the security features. Consider using a doorbell camera, interior camera or a monitored burglar alarm. Securely lock rear gates, sheds and garages. Keep tools and ladders locked away, as they could be used to break into your home. We will also be conducting a Safer Streets engagement tomorrow from 13:30 hours on THE BEECHES and WHYTINGHAM ROAD to offer safeguarding advice and sign up other members of the community to the Herts Connected system.
