We have had a number of reports of children throwing eggs at properties in and around Lady Margaret Gardens, Evergreen Road, Elder Road and Tower Road. This is occurring between 6 pm and 3 am. 

Children throwing eggs may seem like harmless fun, however it can cause damage to property and potentially harm individuals. The impact can cause scratches and chips in paint, and egg contents can etch into the paint, causing permanent damage. Elderly and vulnerable residents have been targeted, which has put them in fear while in their own homes. 

This is a criminal offence and young people may end up being dealt with criminally. From the reports we have received, numerous crimes of criminal damage and harassment are currently under investigation.
