Dear Resident On 21st April an attempted burglary took place in High street at 0042hrs Victim has heard noises coming from the rear of his property. The victim has looked on the rear garden and seen two males standing in the middle of the garden. Only description was around 5ft 7 in height, wearing all black with hoods up which partially covered their faces. No attempts to enter the property were made and the two males made of in an unknown direction.
Please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/36345/25 if you or your neighbours have any information relating to this crime. Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Please be vigilant and do report any suspicious activity or behaviour in the area. Tips to prevent burglary: Check downstairs windows and doors are securely locked before you leave or go to bed. Use a “Fake TV” or timer switches on lamps to give the impression someone is at home. Don’t leave keys, phones or other valuables on windowsills or in any other visible place. Secure UPVC doors by lifting the handle and locking it to engage the security features. Consider using a doorbell camera, interior camera or a monitored burglar alarm. Securely lock rear gates, sheds and garages. Keep tools and ladders locked away, as they could be used to break into your home.
