Hare coursing / poaching - Buntingford


Dear Resident

 

Between Monday 21st April at 6:00pm and Tuesday 22nd April at 06:45am damage was caused to crops and fields off Wyddial Road in Buntingford.

Unknown Suspects are believed to have been hare coursing and have driven a vehicle across the fields which has caused damage to crops.

If you saw anything suspicious, please contact the police non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/36636/25Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Tips to prevent hare coursing and poaching:

  • Remain vigilant in rural locations and report any suspicious activity in the area. This may include 4x4 vehicles or vans parked in remote rural location at the roadside of fields. 

  • Report groups of people seen with multiple dogs walking across cropped fields.

  • Report locations using What Three Words App (W3W).
