Dear Resident,

Just to let you know that the Potters Bar & Shenley Neighbourhood Policing Team will be running two surgeries for knife amnesty in Potters Bar as part of the national police week of action to tackle knife crime.

These will be held at the following dates and locations: 

- Sainsbury's, Darkes Lane, Potters Bar (by Train Station) on Friday 23rd May 2025 between 2pm to 3pm

- Tesco Superstore, Mutton Lane (by High St) on Saturday 24th May 2025 between 10am to 11am

Please bring any weapons, knives/sharp or bladed instruments that could be used in knife crime locally and we will take them for disposal

Your local Neighbourhood PCs & PCSOs will be there with a knife amnesty bin to safely dispose of them. 

You are also very welcome to come along, meet the team and to also discuss any other concerns you may have too.

We will be conducting other events more targeted throughout the week such as Knife Sweeps and School Talks with specialist officers.
