Local Priorities Theft (Any Type) Update

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Theft (Any Type), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Please secure your pedal bikes when visiting your local shops, even if you’re only popping into the shop for a few minutes to avoid a theft occurring. We do offer bike marking events where your local officers will enter your bike details on our national Bike Register system and securely mark it for free of charge. This also acts as a deterrent to a possible theft, if your bike was to be stolen or even lost.
This will greatly increase your chances of getting it back.
Please keep an eye out for bike marking events we are holding or alternatively come along to our Police Surgery next being held at Police patrol base, located next to Hertford Regional College in Turnford. This Surgery is on Wednesday 11th June from 8 - 10am where we will be able to mark your bike as well as offering crime prevention advice and listen to all your concerns.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.herts.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
