ASB & Crime Reporting |
||
Good Evening, Over the last few weeks we have seen an increase of matters regarding Anti-Social Behaviour and crime being reported via incorrect methods, which can lead to important issues or crime reports being missed. Examples of this can include emailing reports of crime directly to PC's or PCSO's or to generic email addresses within Herts Police. Reporting matters to us via the correct methods means that each incident reported is logged on our systems, assessed by our Force Control Room and then allocated out for officers to attend or make contact. This means that when local officers are not on duty, officers from other teams can attend. It also adds to our data so when we review hotspot areas for things such as ASB to allocate further resources to tackle it - the amount of incidents reported will show on our systems which is not the case if they are reported outside of the correct methods. You are more than welcome to make contact with your local PC's and PCSO's for general enquiries but when reporting criminal or ASB incidents please do so via the methods below: In a non-emergency, report information online, speak to us via web chat or call via 101 (in an emergency, always dial 999). Thank you for your co-operation on this matter, I know it may seem pedantic, however it means that nothing gets missed by us, the level of ASB and Crime is correctly recorded on our systems and we can then start to allocate further resources to deal with the issue. Kind Regards PS Robert WILSON | ||
