Dash cam appeal after Royston robbery |
||
Dear Resident, Police are appealing for dash cam, witnesses and information following a reported robbery in Royston. At around 3.20pm on Sunday 8 June, a 16-year-old boy was standing with several electric bikes near the A505/Baldock Road roundabout for McDonald’s. He was reportedly approached by two unknown males and assaulted. One bike was stolen while attempts were made to take another. The stolen bike is pictured below.
Detective Sergeant Samantha Casey, from the Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this incident. “Due to the location, it is likely that numerous cars drove past the scene at the time and saw what happened. If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage. This can be uploaded via herts.police.uk/dashcamupload. “Additionally, if you have any further information, or have seen the stolen bike discarded or put up for sale online, please email me via Samantha.Casey@herts.police.uk.” You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number 41/52471/25. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. | ||
