Plate safe

Dear Resident

As part of continued work to reduce vehicle crime across #Dacorum, the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) held a ‘Plate Safe’ event in #Tring.

Officers were stationed in the car park at Tesco, to fit tamper proof screws to number plates free of charge and give advice around keeping vehicles more secure.

We've received several reports of number plates being stolen across #Dacorum . Stolen plates can be used by criminals to commit offences including burglary and other vehicle crime, as well as bilking (theft of petrol) and evading speed camera fines.
