Tell me about crime and safety in your town centre

Dear Resident

As your Police & Crime Commissioner, this summer I am leading a major initiative to ensure your local town centres are as safe as they can be.

I want you to let me know your views on crime and safety in Hertsmere.

Over the last year, through Operation Hotspot, police officers and PCSOs have done 26,000 hours of additional high visibility patrols in 12 town centres in Hertfordshire, cutting crime and anti-social behaviour by 14.5%. 

This summer we are going to build on that – and your views will shape how we do it. 

Local police teams together with local authorities and community safety partners will be strengthening their work to maintain safety and tackle issues that matter most to residents – particularly in town centres, where more people are out shopping, socialising and enjoying the weather. 

We want to understand your experiences, concerns and ideas so that resources can be focused where they’re most needed. 

This short survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and will help shape community safety work in Hertfordshire’s town centres in the coming months.
