Nineteen arrested in operation targeting County Lines drug gangs

Nineteen people have been arrested during a two-week operation targeting County Lines drug dealing.

Officers from the County Lines Investigation Unit spent two weeks focussing their investigations in the Welwyn Hatfield area of the county, working closely with the local Neighbourhood Policing teams for the area, targeting those running the drugs lines. 

Addresses across the county were raided between 17-26 June, as part of a national intensification operation targeting County Lines, with 19 people arrested and over half a kilo of class A drugs (cocaine) and four kilos of class B drugs (cannabis) being seized. Eight bladed weapons and more than £20,000 in cash was also recovered. Thirteen of those arrested have since been charged with various drug offences.
