Womens walk and talk : Mon 14 Jul 19:00

Women and girls in Welwyn Hatfield are being invited to join a series of ‘Walk and Talk’ events, hosted by PCSO Stacey Robinson.

The initiative has been organised as part of our ongoing work to help make women and girls feel safer.

The walks will enable women and girls to discuss their concerns with officers in a more relaxed setting.

The first walk takes place on Monday 14th July at 7pm in King George Playing Field #WelwynGardenCity.

There will be a 20-30 minute walk round the park and then there will be an opportunity to stay afterwards for a chat or to continue exercising in a safe environment.

PCSO Stacey Robinson, from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The constabulary is committed to tackling MVAWG – male violence against women and girls – and this forms part of that work.

“The walks will give women and girls the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about local safety. I am particularly keen to hear views on safety at night-time.

“Even if you don’t hold strong views, we hope you come along anyway to enjoy the chance a safe place to exercise together and maybe make new friends.”

If you can't attend this event, we are still keen to hear about any concerns through this short survey:
