Common Assault on the Alban Way

Dear residents, 

 

Between 22:00-22:30 on Friday 11th July a common assault has taken place on the Alban Way between Riverside Road and Orient Close. The victim was cycling along the Alban Way and overtook two males, who were on one bike. The males shouted to a group in front of them. A male from the group in front turned round and ran at the victim and tried to push them off their bike. The victim managed to keep their balance and cycled off in the direction of Orient Close where they exited and made their way home. 

In total there were 3 males and 2 females in the group. Description has been given for one suspect. 

Suspect is described as a black male around 5ft 7, with dreadlocks around 16 years of age, wearing a bandana, sports shorts, a sleeveless top, the outfit was notably red.
