Burglar jailed for two and a half years |

Dear Resident A criminal whose offending spanned across three districts in Hertfordshire has been jailed for two and a half years. Paul Hayward, aged 46, of Stanley Gardens, Borehamwood, appeared at St Albans Crown Court for sentencing after previously pleading guilty to the following crimes: In addition to the custodial sentence handed down on Wednesday 9 July, he was also disqualified from driving for 39 months. Hayward’s co-defendant received a suspended sentence for his part in the crime spree. Liam Lincoln, aged 22, of Hartforde Road, Borehamwood, was handed 8 months suspended for 18 months, with the conditions that he carry out 40 days rehabilitation and 150 hours of unpaid work. He previously pleaded guilty to the following: Investigator Chloe Harding, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, said: “Hayward has shown a flagrant disregard for the law, which is plain to see when looking at the list of offences he was charged with.
