Joint working with Cambridgeshire Police

Last Friday afternoon (08/08/2025) we were called to assist our Cambridgeshire equivalents, the Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT), from Cambridgeshire Police just over the border, near to Fowlmere, as they were tracking an Altrad hi-tip dumper that was stolen on 5th August. 

Thanks to all on the A505 heading towards the M11/Duxford that were patient with us whilst we safely escorted the stolen dumper to a secure location to be recovered and returned to its rightful owner. 

We look forward to working with RCAT more frequently in the future to reiterate our message that county borders do not stop us enforcing the law and we will continue to deny roaming criminals from coming and going through our neighbouring counties unchallenged.
