An update on your local priorities!

Dear Resident

Over the past few months, Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) across #Dacorum have been working to tackle the issues that residents said were causing them the most concern.

NPTs work alongside partners to focus on solving long and short-term neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour, theft, speeding and drug-related crime.

They set local policing priorities every four months, providing a specific focus on the issues that residents have raised through surveys, alongside an analysis of data.

Residents will see their dedicated team of PCs and PCSOs working alongside partners to tackle the issues, through an increased police presence, engagement events and targeted enforcement.

During the last period, the following priorities were addressed in #Berkhamsted and #Tring:

Tring - ASB in Dolphin Square
Your local officers have conducted regular patrols at the location and engaged with any youths found, where words of advice were given and youths asked to move on from the area. Local businesses have also been spoken to and advice given to them in case any ASB had affected them. A stall was held in the area during Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, to allow residents to discuss the issue with police and partners and during this time, officers also knocked on doors of residents living within the location to gather information and hear any concerns if any,

Berkhamsted - Speeding
Your local officers have carried out sporadic speed checks in and around the areas of Berkhamsted. We have gathered information from residents to identify hotspot areas and times where they feel, speeding is at its highest. Several drivers were stopped at different locations and spoken to about their speed - the majority of whom were local residents.

The following priorities have now been agreed for the coming three months:

• Speeding in Tring.

• Vehicle related anti-social behaviour in Berkhamsted.

Whilst there will be a focus on the local priorities, officers will continue to respond to daily business as usual, as well as force wide priorities and any emerging issues which require more immediate action.

The Priority Survey remains open throughout the year. Any responses submitted between now and 31st December will be included in the Spring priority-setting process, which takes place in January 2026. You can use the button below:
