An update on your local neighbourhood policing priorities |
||
|
During our most recent priority setting forums, members of the public gave feedback on the issues they’d like to see their neighbourhood officers focusing on over the coming months.
Here is an update from Sergeant Mitchell Cartwright who leads your local team:
🗣️ YOU SAID: Drug issues at Parkhouse Court
👮 WE DID: In the last month officers have done increased and targeted patrols in and around the area. Officers have also been knocking on residents’ doors and speaking with businesses to understand more about the issues. We’ve knocked on around 50 doors so far and we have also been asking the residents to sign up to Herts Connected to keep updated with local news and crime prevention advice.
We’re also responding to concerns about drugs in the wider area. On Friday 10 October, we executed a warrant at an address nearby on Aviation Avenue after reports of drug dealing. One male was arrested and an investigation is ongoing into suspected drug supply at the address.
🗣️ YOU SAID: E-scooter use around the town centre
👮 WE DID: Officers have been doing patrols and engaging with those seen riding e-scooters, making them aware of the legalities around riding them in a public place. Where appropriate, we have also used our powers to seize e-scooters.
In the coming weeks we will be doing targeted patrols and more education and engagement around the issue.
Our work continues but in the meantime you can find out more about local policing priorities here – https://www.herts.police.uk/police-forces/hertfordshire-constabulary/areas/campaigns/tell-us-your-views/tell-us-your-views/
