Dear Resident
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious assault at a private charity event in Hemel during the early hours of this morning (Saturday 25 October). There was an altercation between two men at about 12.40am at the event held at Hemel Football Club in Vauxhall Way. One of the men - aged in his 40s - was punched in the face and sustained serious injuries. Detective Sergeant Steve Mooney from Dacorum CID said: “The victim remains in a critical condition in hospital. We are trying to establish exactly what happened in the lead up to the assault and we need to trace anyone, who was at the event, that we have not already spoken to. We are especially interested in speaking to a man with a tattoo of a band on his right arm who left the event on foot towards Leverstock Green Road.” He said: “I am urging anyone with information to please come forward, no matter how small or insignificant you think the details you have may be.” Please email stephen.mooney@herts.police.uk Alternatively, you can also report information online at https://orlo.uk/J7a9x, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at https://orlo.uk/L8ZJF or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 24 of 25 October 2025. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
