St Albans Police - Warm In Winter Gift Bags |
||
|
Good afternoon Resident
I am contacting all residents of the St Albans, Harpenden, and London Colney wards to let you know of an Annual Initiative which we need your help with! We are delighted to be teaming up again with a local charity to deliver Warm in Winter gift bags to those in need. Over the past few years the Constabulary has joined together with the charity Small Acts of Kindness to deliver the tote bags to vulnerable, older residents. Each bag contains essential items to help keep an older person warm in their home when they are struggling to do so. They include a fleece blanket, thermal hat, socks, gloves, soup, porridge, and a hot drinks pack as well as an information pack about services, support and activities for older people. Residents are encouraged to get in touch if they or somebody they know would benefit from the gift bag.
You can nominate yourself or someone you know - a friend, relative, or vulnerable member of the community who would benefit from this extra bit of support this Winter. We know that times are tough and there are some people within our communities who may be grateful for a helping hand to keep warm but may not have the means to contact us.
Please contact the St Albans Neighbourhood Policing Team on the following e-mail address to make such a request: stalbans@herts.police.uk. Alternatively, you can ‘Reply’ to this message. Please include the recipient's Name, Home Address and (if applicable), any vulnerabilities or concerns so we can consider our Safeguarding Options for that individual. Please seek the recipient's consent to share their personal details. Alternatively, you can contact Small Acts of Kindness directly at giftbags@smallactsofkindness.co.uk and they will forward the request over to the relevant team.
Many thanks for your support! We hope that residents continue to stay connected with each other and with us over the Winter Season.
Kind regards, Fiona | ||
