Vehicle crime operation |

dear Resident
As part of continuing efforts to tackle vehicle crime, our fantastic Volunteer Police Cadets joined us for an operation in #HemelHempstead last night (Tuesday 16 December). Acting Inspector Waston and the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) accompanied 12 cadets as they conducted patrols and checked more 150 cars across 20 streets, to make sure they weren’t a target for opportunist thieves. Twenty-eight vehicles were found unlocked/insecure, with advice given where possible. Inspector Watson said: “We had some great, positive engagement with members of the public during what was a high-visibility operation. I’d like to thank the Cadets for volunteering their time to help us. They were professional throughout and a real credit to their cadet leaders. “Further operations are being planned, alongside our usual patrols, to help prevent vehicle crime across Dacorum.” Advice on how to keep your vehicle more secure can be found here - https://orlo.uk/nH14W We’re currently consulting the public on the issues they would like to see their local policing teams focusing on as a priority. You can have your say by completing our short survey by the end of December - https://orlo.uk/kFQ0J #WinterOfAction #SaferTownCentre
