Last July I launched a campaign to focus on our town centres.  

Additional patrols and innovative policing were put in place to tackle retail crime and shoplifting, ensure a safer experience for everyone enjoying the night life economy and  to keep our town centres a safe and welcoming place to visit.

This focus continued throughout the winter months as residents headed to town centres for their Christmas shopping, to hit the January sales and enjoy the season in our bars, restaurants and clubs.

So, did we get it right?
