Dear Resident At about 9.50pm this morning, Thursday 5th March the suspect smashed the car window and took items from the car which was situated in Tooveys Mill Close, Kings Langley. The suspect then left at speed in a Vauxhall KU59XOS. If anyone saw the incident or has news of this vehicle you can click the reply button at the bottom of the email, or by contacting the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/20681/25 Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Tips to prevent vehicle crime: Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicleWhen parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.Remove your satnav and holder and wipe away suction marks which could indicate that a satnav is stored in your vehicle.Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them lying around, visible or in pockets in changing rooms where they could be taken. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.
