Theft of Motor Vehicle - HP4 3SW NORTHCHURCH

Dear Resident

Between the material time of 1800hrs on the 12th of March to 0911hrs on the 13th of March, the victim has found their car to be missing and broken glass being left in the vehicles place.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox or a keyless signal can be received by relay devices.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag and consider using additional trackers, steering wheel locks or ghost immobilisers.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
