Did you see who was responsible for racially aggravated criminal damage and arson in Highfield Park? |
||
|
We are appealing for anyone with any information about incidents at Highfield Park in Hill End Lane recently to contact us.
Sometime between Wednesday 15 April and Friday 17 April, grass was deliberately set alight by the Cell Barnes orchard, about 200m from the entrance to the park, by Frobisher Road. (Reference 41/35071/26).
The week before, between 6pm and 11pm on Tuesday 7 April, racially aggravated criminal damage was left in Monks Meadow as well as damage to goal posts, the foot path and notice boards. (Reference 41/34681/26).
“We have a zero tolerance to hate crime,” said PC Reese Merrick. “We are keen to trace the people responsible for these incidents. The arson poses a significant risk to park users, dogs, as well as the surrounding trees and vegetation. Highfield Park Trust is a charity which manages the parkland for everyone to enjoy and we will do everything we can to keep it that way.”
Anyone with any information about who may be responsible, including footage or stills captured on a mobile phone, is asked to contact us quoting the reference numbers above at www.herts.police.uk/report or call 101. | ||
