Have your say on local policing priorities

The priorities Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) officers will focus on over the next four months have been agreed following feedback from residents.

NPTs work alongside partner agencies to focus on solving long and short-term neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour, theft, speeding and drug-related crime.

The new priorities are:

Ware and Stanstead Abbotts: The community has asked local officers to focus on reducing anti-social behaviour in The Priory and surrounding industrial areas, as well as tackling the anti-social use of e-bikes along the towpath between Ware and Stanstead Abbotts.

Over recent months, your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has been working hard to tackle local priorities, the issues residents have said cause them the most concern.

While maintaining this focus, officers continue to respond to day-to-day incidents, force-wide priorities and any emerging issues requiring immediate attention.

Keeping communities safe is not just the responsibility of your local Neighbourhood Policing Team. We also have:

Officers responding to emergencies

Detectives investigating crimes such as burglary and assault

Specialist units tackling issues including domestic abuse and acquisitive crime

Support from countywide teams when needed.
