Seven arrested and drugs seized in police operation |
||
|
An operation carried out in St Albans and Hertsmere yesterday (Thursday 25 June) saw seven people arrested and drugs seized. The local neighbourhood policing teams joined together with the constabulary’s Operational Support Group (OSG) for a day of action. It involved numerous tactics to combat criminality including warrants, arrest enquiries and stop searches. The operation resulted in the following: Chief Inspector Ryan Davenport said: “This was a successful operation, demonstrating proactive policing and a strong commitment across our teams to work together and keep the public safe. “One of the arrests, which came from a stop search in Borehamwood, resulted in us recovering cocaine, an offensive weapon and over £1000 in cash. “In addition to the arrests, the operation also helped us build more intelligence including identifying suspects for other crimes. Work will now continue to progress that. “I hope residents are reassured by the operation.
