Community engagement event in Stortford Fields a success

Your local neighbourhood officers would like to thank everyone who stopped by the mobile police station in Stortford Fields on Wednesday evening.

The team were joined by colleagues from the Crime Prevention Team, East Herts Police Cadets and a local housing association to speak with residents about issues affecting their community.

During the event:

✅ More than 40 residents engaged with officers
✅ Information about Herts Connected was shared across 16 streets
✅ Valuable community intelligence was gathered

Residents had the opportunity to discuss concerns in their local area, while some younger visitors enjoyed sitting in a police car and speaking with officers about what to do in an emergency and who to call if they need help.

Events like this highlight the importance of talking to your local officers and sharing information about issues affecting your neighbourhood. Information provided by a member of the public during the event has already helped make significant progress in an ongoing assault investigation, demonstrating the real difference community intelligence can make.
