Dear Resident
Thefts From Motor Vehicles – Crime Prevention Advice
We have received reports of thefts from motor vehicles in the local area. In a number of incidents, offenders have targeted unsecured vehicles and stolen items left inside. Stolen bank cards have then been used to make contactless purchases. Please help protect your property by taking the following precautions:
• Always lock your vehicle and ensure all windows and sunroofs are fully closed.
Many of these offences are opportunistic, with offenders simply trying car door handles to find vehicles that have been left unlocked. Once access is gained, any valuables left inside can be stolen and used fraudulently. Please remain vigilant and encourage friends, family and neighbours to secure their vehicles and remove valuables before leaving them unattended.
Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activities in the area. If you need to report a crime please call 101 or go online here.
