Targeting anti-social behaviour through off-road bikes being ridden in a careless and inconsiderate manner in Goffs Oak Cheshunt West.

During June 2025 the NPT have worked with Broxbourne Parks Patrol and partner agencies to disrupt those riding off-road bikes anti-socially and anyone identified participating in this activity will be dealt with robustly.
With warmer weather and lighter evenings, we would like to remind anyone who may be tempted to ride offroad bikes in public areas that a Public Space Protection Order, covering the whole of the Borough, came into force in July 2023, for a period of three years, prohibiting anyone from riding a motorbike, quad bike, scrambler, mini moto or any other mechanically propelled vehicle in an anti-social manner, failure to comply with this order is a criminal offence.
Members of public are encouraged to report any incidents of anti-social off-road motorbike use via 101 or if of a serious nature please call 999. Information can also be provided anonymously via the following link http://bit.ly/offroadbikes.

Tackling reports of illegal car meets taking place in Cheshunt West.

The Broxbourne Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working to stop and disrupt any reported organised car meets in the Borough and using powers available to them, such as dispersal orders under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
On Saturday 14 June 2025 a large car meet took place in Hoddesdon which officers were able to disrupt with the use of dispersal powers under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. In addition a large number of letters have since been issued to the registered owners of the vehicles in attendance warning them that their attendance at this type of event is not acceptable.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind anyone who may be tempted to take part in an organised car meet that a Public Space Protection Order, covering the whole of the Borough of Broxbourne, came into force in July 2023, for a period of three years, prohibiting anyone being the driver of any mechanically propelled vehicle to act in a manner deemed by an authorised person to be anti-social and is or is likely to be causing nuisance, alarm, harassment or distress to any other person and failure to comply with this order is a criminal offence.
