Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

The priorities for May to August are as follows:

• Anti-Social Behaviour in Letchworth town centre and Howard Park. We will increase patrols in and around these locations to ensure we are able to respond to, and also prevent, incidents of ASB. Increased visibility and engagement will help us to ensure the local communities are able to enjoy the town centre and Howard Park.

• Illegal use of e-scooters in Letchworth and Baldock. The excellent work that your local team has already undertaken to address this issue will continue throughout the summer. Expect to see more vehicles being seized.

Issued 18 May 2026

Increased high-visibility patrols are taking place to deter ASB in Letchworth Town Centre and Howard Park. Officers engage with businesses, residents and park users to gather information, address concerns and respond to reports.

Education has been given to people using e-scooters illegally in Baldock and Letchworth and in some cases seizures have been made.
